Optimal IT owns and operates The School
Volunteer (the Web Site). Only registered users may access the restricted areas
of the Web Site. Schools or other organizations may use the Web Site once the
organization has established an account with and become an Account Holder with
the Web Site. Account Holders may restrict user registration on that account.
Users become registered after they populate the online form and submit their
information to the Web Site.
This privacy policy describes the Web Site’s online information collection
and use practices. As such, it applies only to the information the Web Site
collects.
This Privacy Policy may change. The Web
Site will identify changes will using bold print for a period of 90 days following
the change. If you do not agree with the revisions, you may contact the Account
Holder or Optimal IT and request deletion of all Web Site-maintained information
about you. You must send such requests in writing the Account Holder or to:

The Web Site will maintain collected information
for an indeterminate period and may delete it at any time.
Information Collection
The Web Site does not collect personally identifiable, non-public information.
Users agree to conform to this policy as a prerequisite to using the Web Site.
Optimal IT may use passive tracking mechanisms such as cookies and log files
to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement and gather
broad demographic information for aggregate use. Persistent cookies enable Optimal
IT to track and target the aggregate interests of Web Site users to enhance
the experience on the site.

of data stored on your computer that allows the Web Site to remember that it
has previously communicated with your browser. The Web Site may use both session
ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once a user closes

The Web Site and Optimal IT will not intentionally divulge personal
information to third parties such as marketing companies.
Optimal IT will disclose your personal
information to law enforcement or other government officials, if Optimal IT
in good faith believes a subpoena or other legal document compels Optimal IT
to disclosure your personal information.
The Web Site processes information users
provide to facilitate communication among volunteers, Committee Chairs and the
Account Holder. For example, volunteer contact information may appear
on a committee roster.
The Web Site will make your information
available to the Account Holder and authorized agents of the Account Holder.
The Account Holder will have the ability to run reports and distribute your
information, in accordance with its own data use and privacy policy. The Web
Site assumes no liability for the Account Holder's use of your information.
By registering, you expressly agree to hold harmless the Web Site and Optimal
IT for any use or misuse of your personal information.
Optimal IT may use your contact information to
provide you with materials about Optimal IT or our products and services, including
new content or services at the Web Site. Optimal IT may provide you with these
materials by phone, mail, facsimile, or e-mail.
Provided an entity receiving this information
agrees to the restrictions included in this privacy policy, Optimal IT may disclose
your information in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy,
or other similar event. If this occurs, Optimal IT may transfer your personally
identifiable information to a successor or assign.
Registered users may update information such as
phone number, e-mail address or postal address from the “My Info”
section of the Volunteer Menu page.
